Study Abroad FAQ:
1. wHAT IS THE SCHEDULE AND CALENDAR OF AN aCADEMIC YEAR IN THE usa
The academic school year is broken up into two semesters.  For the first semester, students typically start school on September 4, 2018.  Students enjoy approximately 2-3 weeks off for Christmas break in December and early January. If students choose to do so, they may travel home to visit their family during this time.  The second semester starts in January and ends in the middle of June.  
2. Can you describe the typical day in the American high school?
Students in America attend high school 5 days a week; Monday-Friday.  School typically starts at 7:30 AM and ends at 2:30 PM.  Each day, students take 7 classes which last approximately 50 minutes each.  In the middle of the day, the students get a 30 minute break for lunch and may eat from the cafeteria in the school.  After school, students have the options to participate in after school activities such as extra-curricular clubs and student organizations.  Some students take a yellow bus to school, while others walk or are driven to school by their parents.
3. What is the enrollment process like?
Enrollment Timeline/Deadlines:
March 1, 2018:  Acceptance deadline.  Your entire application should be submitted to us at this point
March 30, 2018: Student placement notifications
April, 2018: I-20 documentation is provided
May/June:  F-1 VISA interviews
August, 2018: Student arrives in the USA
​September, 2018: Classes begin!
4. Can I earn a US High School Diploma?
Yes!  Just as in any country, the USA education system has specific course requirements in order for a high school diploma to be granted.  Students may choose to take classes online (from your native country) or study abroad in the USA.  Many of your courses from your native country may be transferred to the US system, therefore making the US diploma that more realistically attainable.  The USA school will need your transcripts translated into English in order to determine how many credits and classes may count towards a US high school diploma
5. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE STUDENTS GETS SICK?
​As a part of our program, each student will receive medical insurance.  This will cover various expenses such as doctor and hospital visits, if necessary.
​6. WHERE DOES THE STUDENT LIVE IN THE USA?
​The student will live with the host family.  The host family is carefully screened to make sure they are safe and are interested in hosting the student.  Often, this family lives in the local community and are often parents and have their own children attending the same school.  The host family will provide breakfast and dinner during weekdays and breakfast, lunch and dinner during weekends.  Lunch will be served in the school cafeteria during weekdays.  The student will become a regular member of the family and will have an opportunity to fully experience the American culture and home-life.
Online Learning FAQ:
1. WHAT COURSES ARE AVAILABLE ONLINE?
We have an extensive course listing available in our online academy program.  Students can take courses for the purpose of earning a USA high school diploma or to just strengthen their English skills.  Other students may be prepared to study abroad and want to get a taste of what it's like to study in the USA.  Finally, adult professionals may be interested in expanding their career opportunities by learning business English.  To get a full listing of courses, contact us here
​2. WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ACCESS AND ENROLL INTO THESE COURSES?
A student must have strong knowledge of the English language, including; Speaking, Reading, Writing and Listening as these courses simulate the typical  American classroom.  Students must also have access to their own personal computer and have access to a strong connection to the Internet.   You can access these courses 24 hours a day 7 days a week. ​
3. TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE COURSES
We have three sessions offered for schools:

​Fall: September-January
Spring: January-June
Summer: June - July

Each course takes approximately 70-90 hours to complete, depending on the students individual capability.  The courses are asynchronous.  This means the course can be access and learning can take place at anytime, anywhere, any-pace.  The video lectures are recorded and there are a variety of assignments, projects, quizzes and tests that the student is required to complete to learn the material.

2. What credentials do your instructor's hold?
All of our other instructor's have teaching degrees and certifications and are highly qualified instructors in their subject areas.
3. What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept credit and debit cards and/or bank transfers through PayPal. ​
